Boy dies in road traffic collision in Co Antrim

A 12-year-old boy has died following a road traffic collision in Co Antrim.

Aaron Webb, from the Greater Lisburn area, was killed in a collision involving a van while he was walking on the Lisburn Road, outside Glenavy at around 3.30pm yesterday.

The PSNI attended the scene along with the ambulance service and the boy was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police are appealing to anyone who was travelling in the area around the time and who witnessed the collision, or who may have captured dashcam footage, to contact them.
