A new walk-in and drive-through testing centre will open tomorrow at Mick Neville Park in Rathkeale, Co Limerick in response to the concern over rising Covid infection figures in the county.
The free service will operate from 11am to 7pm tomorrow and Wednesday.
There had been calls for a third centre to be established in Co Limerick to encouarge people to get tested.
Two test centres in the city area, at St Joseph's health complex in Mulgrave Street and a drive-through centre at the former Wicks plant at Ballysimon road, have been busy.
Over 17,000 people have been tested between both sites since the middle of May.
Covid testing is free at all three centres. Attendees must bring a photo ID and provide a mobile phone number so the centre can contact them with the PCR rest results.
