A walk-in test centre for Covid-19 has opened in Limerick city following a rise in cases of the virus in the area.
A further 41 cases were recorded in Limerick yesterday which brings the number of cases since last Friday to 163.
The new centre is located at St Joseph's Hospital on Mulgrave Street and has been established by the National Ambulance service along with Mid-West Public health and Community healthcare.
It will be open from 11am to 7pm and will remain operational until next Sunday.
People are being encouraged to get tested and do not need an appointment if they think they may have symptoms or if they may have been in contact with anyone who has developed the virus.
Separately, appointments across the six hospitals in the UL Hospitals Group continue to be impacted by the cyber attack on the HSE's IT systems.
All outpatients clinics, including paediatric outpatient appointments have been cancelled.
People are being asked not to attend the hospitals in Limerick, Ennis, Nenagh and Croom unless they have been contacted directly about an appointment.
