Suspected cannabis worth an estimated €200,000 has been found in a follow-up operation after €72,000 of cannabis was seized last Wednesday in north Dublin.
A 37-year-old woman was arrested following the seizure on 5 May. She has since been released without charge and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
The operation was part of ongoing investigations targeting organised crime groups operating in the Kilmore area of north Dublin.
The joint intelligence-led operation was conducted by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, the DMR North Divisional Drugs Unit, and the Revenue Customs Service.
A premises in the Kilmore area was searched and suspected cannabis herb with an estimated value of €72,000 was seized by Customs officers.
Today, the follow-up operation resulted in the seizure of suspected cannabis worth around €200,000.
Investigations are ongoing.
