US and Irish flags are flying outside a number of premises in the west Clare village of Doonbeg where the Trump family run a five-star golf resort.
The hotel and golf club employed over 300 people at the height of the tourist season, and is also responsible for supporting a number of other tourism businesses such as restaurants, pubs, chauffer and tourist bus businesses in Co Clare.
President Donald Trump stayed at the resort during his visit to Ireland in June 2019, which brought a huge international profile to the rural coastal village.
His sons, Eric and Don Jr, were also regular visitors to the village and dined in the local restaurants and bars.
Vice President Mike Pence, who has family ancestors from the village, also visited with his family and stayed at the Trump resort in September last year.
President Trump's investment in the village has been welcomed by many locals who say it is much needed in the area.
They will be watching with interest if Mr Trump will be elected for a second term, so that the village's international profile can continue.
