Gardaí have seized three guns in Co Roscommon this evening.
The 9mm pistols, which were fully loaded, were found during the search of a vehicle on Main Street in Castlerea at around 8.30pm.
Gardaí say the search was part of an investigation into crime gang activities.
A man in his 30s was arrested at the scene and is being detained at Castlerea Garda Station.
During follow up searches at a location in the town a small quantity of heroin was recovered.
