A 16-year-old boy is being questioned by gardaí investigating the murder of a 20-year-old man in Dublin's north inner city last night.
The victim has been named as Glen Osbourne from Taafe Place in Ballybough.
Forensic specialists are examining the scene of the fatal stabbing at the Ballybough House flat complex.
It is understood that a group of young people were in the inner car park of the complex at around 10pm when a row broke out and Mr Osbourne was stabbed once in the upper body and collapsed.
Paramedics treated him at the scene before he was taken to the Mater Hospital, but he was pronounced dead there a short time later.
Gardaí have begun a murder inquiry and say they are following a definite line of inquiry.
The scene is overlooked by balconies and flats and gardaí are seeking witnesses or anyone with information to contact them at Mountjoy Garda station on 01-6668600.
Searches were also carried out near a petrol station across the road and potential evidence was removed.
The teenage boy was arrested in the early hours of this morning and is being held at Mountjoy Garda Station, where he can be questioned for up to 24 hours.
