An investigation is underway after a number of shots were fired at a house in Longford town overnight.
No one was injured in the incident.
The incident happened in the Gleann Riada estate on the outskirts of the town at around 12am.
Forensic experts are at the scene and a number of cartridges have been recovered.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses, especially those who may have been in the Gleann Riada area.
