Revenue officers have seized drugs worth over €80,000 in Co Laois.
The 3.9kgs of herbal cannabis and 10.1kgs of khat were discovered concealed in separate parcels at the Mail Centre in Portlaoise.
The parcels had been sent from Kenya and Thailand and were destined for addresses in Dublin city centre.
One was labelled ‘clothing’ and the other as a ‘wedding gift’.
The Revenue detector dog, Sam was involved in the discovery.
Revenue says investigations into the seizure are continuing with a view to a prosecution.
