Irish dancers are "more than welcome to take part" in the Drogheda St Patrick's Day Parade, the organiser has said.
However, Chairperson of the Drogheda parade Anthony Lynch said in a bid to keep the parade moving, the organising committee has decided to cut all performances this year.
According to Mr Lynch, in the past dancing had caused delays along the route, leading many people to think the parade had finished before it had.
The committee has said this year's parade will be a "marching parade" and Irish dancers, gymnasts and other performers can take part, once they keep moving.
