Herbal cannabis worth an estimated €148,000 has been seized in Co Laois.
The drugs were discovered at the Portlaoise Mail Centre following routine profiling.
Revenue officers recovered 7.4kgs of the drug which were concealed in two parcels, which had arrived from Spain.
The parcels had been declared as 'textiles' and were destined for addresses in the Dublin 12 and 15 areas.
Revenue says investigations are on-going with a view to a prosecution.
