Cara Partners, owned by the German pharmaceutical manufacturer Schwabe Group, has announced a training and development initiative designed to upskill employees at its Little Island facility.

The €6 billion programme is designed to run over three years, with the aim of "strengthening skills" and "building leadership" to support the company's growth.

The project, which is due to upskill 130 employees, is supported by IDA Ireland.

The investment is expected to "support higher productivity and operational efficiency as our site continues to expand", said Schwabe Group's VP Stephen Kenny.

The Schwabe Group, which produces plant-based and homeopathic medicines, established Cara Partners in Little Island in 1978.
