daa International appointed as partner for new Hanoi airport

Daa International has been appointed as a strategic and operational partner for Gia Binh International Airport in Hanoi in Vietnam, one of the country's biggest new aviation infrastructure projects.

Daa International is the global airports management, consulting and investment arm of daa, the operator of Dublin and Cork airports.

The appointment follows a strategic partnership between Masterise Aviation Infrastructure Joint Stock Company and daa International.

Gia Binh International Airport in being built 40 kilometres from Hanoi and forms part of a wider vision for the continued economic growth and development of Vietnam and the Gia Binh district.

The airport is planned to have a capacity of up to 30 million passengers and 1.6 million tonnes of cargo a year by 2030, with a long‑term ambition to reach 50 million passengers and 2.5 million tonnes of cargo by 2050.

Daa International will work closely with Masterise Aviation Infrastructure to support the development and day-to-day operation of the airport.

This will include input across key areas such as airport development planning, certification and regulatory readiness, operational concept design, commercial strategy, operational readiness and airport management.
