Since 2024, 21 new MACE stores were opened in Ireland

Retail and convenience chain MACE grew 18% since 2024, according to the parent company, pushing retail sales to €470 million over the past 12 months.

BWG shared the business performance with MACE retailers and partners at the retail group's Convention event held at in Cork.

BWG reported that €20 million has been invested in a wide range of initiatives aimed at driving growth across the network.

As the result of the expansion, 21 new MACE stores were opened over the past two years, while 48 stores were upgraded.

The company is focused in investing in "better store standards, increased innovation and unparalleled convenience for today’s shopper," said MACE sales sirector Keith Crawford.

BWG Foods, owned by South African-incorporated The Spar Group Limited, operates a number of retail and convenience brands in Ireland, including Mace as well as Spar, Eurospar, Londis and XL.
