Eircom will have to refund over €305,000 in international call charges to around 14,800 customers after it failed to clearly make information around exclusions to international call allowances available to them.
It follows an investigation from ComReg, which found the telecoms company did not adequately inform customers about these exclusions.
The average refund per customer is just over €20.
According to ComReg, under EU law, providers are required to make certain information - such as notifications about exclusions to international call allowances - available "in a clear and comprehensible manner".
The communications regulator said Eircom has also committed to "addressing the suspected regulatory breaches by clarifying contract exclusions for certain international call destinations, and providing a link to the full list of excluded countries".
ComReg said it will monitor Eircom's compliance with these obligations.
