Global real estate company Greystar is expanding its third-party property management business in Ireland through the integration of MD Property & Living, the Dublin-based residential property services business.
Founded in 2004 and headquartered in Dublin, MD Property & Living manages around 3,800 apartments. The business employs 38 people and provides advisory, leasing, property and financial management services across Ireland.
Greystar has been active in Ireland since 2019 and today manages about 850 apartments and 1,700 student beds across the country. Its projects include Dublin Landings, Griffith Wood and Brickfield Square, while it has also invested in purpose-built student accommodation assets including Point Campus and Mayor Square in Dublin and Cúirt na Coiribe in Galway.
MD Property & Living founder and CEO Mark Dunleavy will lead Greystar's dedicated third-party property management business in Ireland.
Claire Solon, Managing Director - Ireland, Greystar, said that Ireland is a market where the company has steadily built its presence through investment, development and property management over the past several years.
"Integrating MD Property & Living into Greystar strengthens that platform in a way that is firmly rooted in local expertise while contributing to our broader plans across Europe," she said.
"This step allows us to expand our third-party property management capability at a time when standards, transparency and long-term stewardship are increasingly important in Ireland. By combining MD Property & Living's deep understanding of the local market with our wider experience, we are positioning ourselves to grow responsibly and to continue playing a constructive role in the Irish rental housing sector," she added.
Mark Dunleavy, founder and CEO of MD Property & Living, said that for more than 20 years, MD Property & Living has evolved alongside Ireland's institutional rental market, building a platform grounded in regulatory discipline, client alignment and operational depth.
"Joining Greystar allows us to accelerate that trajectory. With long-term backing and access to global expertise, we can continue scaling in Ireland while maintaining the standards, culture and client focus that define our business," he added.
Greystar currently manages about 1.1 million homes and beds globally, the majority on behalf of third-party clients, and has more than three decades of experience operating rental housing across market cycles.
