Savills Ireland has announced a deal to buy The Building Consultancy, an independent building and project consultancy practice established in November 2007.
This marks the second acquisition completed by Savills Ireland in the past 12 months after its purchase of Northern Ireland commercial property advisory firm Osborne King last year.
The Building Consultancy brings almost 20 years of experience in the Irish market and is recognised as a specialist advisor to occupiers, funders, commercial property owners and professional advisers.
Today's deal expands Savills capability in building surveying and project consultancy.
Mark Reynolds, Managing Director at Savills Ireland, said that building and project consultancy has become a core requirement in investment, financing and occupation decisions as clients seek greater certainty, independent assessment and clear analysis before allocating capital.
"The Building Consultancy has built a strong reputation in this space and brings a high-quality team with excellent market credentials," he said.
"Their expertise strengthens our capability and allows us to provide clients with greater technical insight, broader reporting and increased capacity in response to evolving regulatory, financial and ESG requirements," he added.
Alan Baldwin, Managing Director of The Building Consultancy, said that joining Savills represents a natural progression for the business.
"Becoming part of Savills allows us to bring that expertise to a broader client base while continuing to provide the detailed, objective analysis that funders, investors and occupiers rely on when making major property decisions," he added.
