UK group AAB has expanded its Irish footprint by acquiring Dublin's FM Accountants and Carlow-based LSMQ.

In recent months AAB also acquired three firms in Ireland - Ormsby & Rhodes, Ryan & Crowley and In O'Connor Pyne.

The latest deal brings its revenue to more than €25m in Ireland and its staff numbers over 250.

AAB is backed by Goldman Sachs Alternatives, and has 1,800 staff across 23 locations.

Colm Duggan, head of professional services at AAB, said there was "significant opportunity in Ireland" for firms who benefit from "shared infrastructure, investment and international reach."
