Aer Lingus New York to Dublin flight cancelled due to suspected fume event

Flight EI106 from New York JFK to Dublin was cancelled on February 11 due to a technical issue, an Aer Lingus spokesperson said.

An Aer Lingus flight from New York JFK to Dublin was cancelled yesterday due to a technical issue.

It is understood the problem related to a suspected fume event and that the crew was medically assessed as per normal practice.

Impacted passengers were accommodated in hotels before being rebooked on alternative flights.

"Flight EI106 from New York JFK to Dublin was cancelled on 11 February due to a technical issue," an Aer Lingus spokesperson said.

"Customers were provided with hotel accommodation and are being re-accommodated on alternative Aer Lingus services," the airline added.
