Tipperary-born businessman Declan Kelly's advisory firm, Consello, has expanded further with an acquisition of a UK company with Irish clients in one of the fastest growth sectors - risk.
Fresh from the company's recent announcement of a deal to bring Ryder Cup winner Shane Lowry on board as an ambassador for Consello, the global CEO advisory firm founded by Mr Kelly has made London-based risk and threat assessment firm Morpheus Risk its latest acquisition.
No fee has been given for the deal.
With the acquisition, Morpheus will join a new Consello Risk practice, further strengthening the firm's ability to support multinational leadership teams facing complex, operational, reputational and security challenges.
"Consello has always focused on providing clients with direct access to the information that matters most for making informed decisions. Morpheus brings a new layer of operational expertise, creating a platform that combines strategic perspective with practical risk mitigation solutions at a moment when global volatility demands such capabilities," Consello founder, chairman and CEO Declan Kelly said today.
Morpheus founder and CEO James Stokley said that joining Consello significantly elevates its capabilities and greatly expands its reach.
"Morpheus was built by some of the world's best operators who understand the realities of how leading global companies make decisions every day," he said.
"Expanding that expertise to a broader global stage allows us to continue helping senior leaders navigate uncertainty with confidence and precision," he added.
Morpheus Risk provides practical insight and operational support to many of the world's leading companies and its clients are understood to include US multi-nationals operating in Ireland.
The acquisition will see Consello provide a key risk and threat assessment service for clients faced with increased volatility in their value chains.
The new offering will add to Consello's existing advisory services in Ireland, including C-Suite Advisory, Management Consulting, Communications and Public Affairs, Leadership Development and Business Transformation and Sports & Entertainment Advisory.
Among the boutique London firm's risk and threat assessment services are investigations into fraud, corruption and insider threat, advisory on cyber threat, from terrorism to ransomware, as well as security for buildings, people and assets.
The Morpheus team includes former law enforcement, intelligence and UK security officials. Its founder and CEO James Stokely spent the majority of his 25 years in the Metropolitan Police working in Counter Terrorism, at New Scotland Yard, where he led investigative teams both in the UK and overseas.
Consello, which was founded just under four years ago by Mr Kelly, has offices in New York, Miami, Atlanta, Dublin, Belfast, London, Abu Dhabi and Riyadh.
