Monthly wholesale electricity prices up 22% in November - CSO

New figures from the Central Statistics Office show that wholesale electricity prices rose by 21.9% in November compared with October but were 16% lower than November of last year.

Wholesale electricity prices have fallen by 68.3% when compared with the peak that occurred in August 2022.

The CSO said that producer prices for food products declined by 0.1% since October but rose by 3% in the year since November 2024.

Some of the most notable changes in producer prices for food products over the 12 month period were for Dairy Products, which jumped by 11.1%, while Meat & Meat Products rose by 6.7% and Fish & Fish Products were up 5.1%.

Today's CSO figures show that wholesale price inflation remained unchanged in November.

Producer prices for products sold on the domestic market were 1.1% higher in November compared with the same time last year.

In the 12 months to November, export producer prices fell by 6%, while overall producer prices were down by 5.3%.
