Aer Lingus said today it is expanding its European and transatlantic network with six new routes launching next year.

Aer Lingus will launch three new flights from Dublin to Asturias in northern Spain, Montpellier in the south of France, and Oslo in Norway from Summer 2026.

From Cork, the airline will start two new routes to Nice in the south of France and Santiago de Compostela in northwestern Spain.

From May, Aer Lingus will also start a new service to Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania.

The new route brings the total number of routes Aer Lingus operates from Ireland to North America to 24.

Aer Lingus said the continued growth of its North American network is part of its Dublin Hub strategy, providing a convenient gateway connecting North America, Ireland, the UK and Europe.

The new Aer Lingus Dublin-Pittsburgh route will operate four-times a week from May 25.

Susanne Carberry, Chief Customer Officer at Aer Lingus, said the airline is committed to connecting Ireland with a range of diverse destinations across Europe and North America.

"We are particularly pleased to add Pittsburgh to our transatlantic network, having worked closely with partners in the region to make this a possibility," she said.

"This route builds on our strong partnership with the Pittsburgh Steelers and further cements Aer Lingus' position as a leading transatlantic carrier. Through its Dublin hub, Aer Lingus provides convenient connections that link Pittsburgh with over 30 destinations across Europe and the UK," she added.

Aer Lingus operates over 100 routes from Dublin, Cork, Shannon and Knock to Europe, the UK and North America.
