The Institute of Advertising Practitioners in Ireland (IAPI), has announced the appointment of Geraldine Jones, Managing Director, Publicis Dublin, as its next President and Chair of the Board.
She has held senior leadership positions at Publicis Dublin for over two decades and was appointed Managing Director in 2021, overseeing award-winning work for major Irish and international brands.
Her two-year term as IAPI President will begin on 1st January 2026, succeeding Abi Moran, CEO, Folk VML.
Ms Jones presidency of the the representative organisation for the advertising and communications industry is expected to have a strong focus on positioning the industry as key to Ireland's socio-economic success.
"Despite current global uncertainty, our industry continues to transform and provides huge opportunity to unlock sustainable economic success for our client’s businesses," said Ms Jones.
"My focus as President will be to work with IAPI members, the business community, government and regulators to ensure that the potential of our industry can be realised and our contribution to driving business success is recognised," she said.
The IAPI represents over 80% of the industry’s workforce with members including indigenous and multinational agencies of all sizes.
IAPI CEO, Siobhán Masterson said Ms Jones extensive experience and leadership qualities will bring enormous momentum to delivering on IAPI’s priorities.
She said these include addressing the operating environment for the industry and ensuring that their policy positions and initiatives deliver success for their members.
