Bank of Ireland has appointed Michelle McGreal as the bank's new Group Chief Internal Auditor.
In her new role, Ms McGreal will oversee the Bank of Ireland's internal audit function, ensuring governance, risk management, and control processes continue to meet the highest standards.
She joined Bank of Ireland in 2021 as Head of Audit – Non-Financial Risk and was the Deputy Group Chief Internal Auditor before taking on the Head of Internal Audit role for Bank of Ireland UK in 2024.
Before joining Bank of Ireland, she worked at both Ulster Bank and AIB.
Alongside her executive career, Michelle is also an Independent Non-Executive Director with the Courts Service, where she is a member of the Audit and Risk Committee.
Myles O'Grady, Bank of Ireland's group chief executive said that Michelle McGreal's expertise and leadership will further strengthen the lender's commitment to transparency, compliance and continuous improvement.
