Airline e-commerce platform Datalex said today it has extended its partnership with Air China for another three years.
Air China, the flag carrier of China, began its partnership with Datalex in 2010.
As part of the renewal deal, Air China has migrated to Datalex's Stellex platform and the airline will use the Stellex capabilities to power its website, mobile applications, and OTA flagship stores.
Datalex said this will enable Air China to achieve its digital retail ambitions, advance its e-commerce functionality as well as drive greater cost efficiencies and faster market responses.
Jonathan Rockett, CEO at Datalex, said today's extension reflects the company's ongoing commitment to the Chinese market by investing in capabilities that cater to the unique needs of its partners in the region.
"In conjunction with this, Datalex has created a centre of excellence within China to increase product innovation for the Chinese market with expectations to double capacity in 2026," he added.
