Communications firm eir has reported third quarter revenues of €320m, down 1% from the same time last year and in line with expectations.
Its earnings for the three months to the end of September were flat at €148m, while operating costs came in at €102m.
Eir said it had 1.56 million mobile customers by the end of September - up 4%.
Meanwhile, its fibre broadband connections grew by 1% to 890,000 year on year. It noted that 60% of customers on triple or quad-play bundles, an increase of 5%.
The company said it is now approaching 1.5 million premises that can connect to fibre to the home (FTTH) across the country, an 11% increase on last year.
A total of 2.2 million premises now have access to eir's combined fibre to the home (FTTH) and fibre to the cabinet (FTTC) networks, representing 97% of premises nationwide, it added.
Oliver Loomes, eir's CEO, said the company had delivered another strong quarter and solid operational performance, in line with its expectations.
"Our strategy of sustained network investment and customer focus continues to yield results, reflected in the growth of both our mobile and fibre broadband bases," he said.
"With 1.56 million mobile customers - an increase of 62,000 year on year - and fibre-to-the-home available to nearly 1.5 million premises, we are consolidating our position as Ireland's leading connectivity provider," he stated.
The eir CEO said that as customer demand evolves, the company continues to enhance its product offering, with 60% of eir households now choosing triple or quad-play bundles.
"This reflects growing confidence in eir’s integrated approach - combining broadband, mobile, voice, and entertainment to deliver a seamless experience. We remain focused on connecting more communities, expanding choice and driving Ireland’s digital future," he added.
