Scandinavian manufacturer NorDan is investing €5m in its Irish operations this year, with plans to create 30 new jobs in the Midlands over the next two years as part of its national expansion.

The company, which makes high-performance windows and doors, has opened a new showroom in Athlone.

NorDan said its Irish turnover has grown from €48m in 2024 and is on track to reach €65m in 2025 and it has an Irish workforce of over 150.

It supplies windows and doors for residential developers, social housing schemes and retrofit projects nationwide.

The company's products can be designed to meet NZEB (Nearly Zero Energy Building) and Passive House standards, supporting the country's move toward a more sustainable built environment.

Brendan Harte, Residential Director at NorDan Ireland, said, the company's expansion reflects the growth we’re seeing right across the Irish construction sector, especially in sustainable homebuilding and retrofitting.

"Athlone is the ideal location for our new showroom and regional base, allowing us to better serve customers in the Midlands and the west," he added.
