Sell out shows by Olivia Rodrigo, Girls Aloud, Vogue Williams & Joanne McNally and the Wolfe Tones helped the firm that operates the 3Arena in Dublin to pre-tax profits of €20.7m last year.

New accounts filed by the Live Nation-owned Amphitheatre Ireland Ltd show that the venue firm recorded the 8.5% increase in pre-tax profits as revenues increased marginally from €36.22m to €36.49m.

The directors state that the "3Arena continued to perform strongly in 2024, attracting promoters of the best shows and large audience numbers".

The directors state that the increase in profits "is mainly a result of the growth in turnover and operational efficiencies achieved during 2024".

The directors for Amphitheatre state that they "expect 2025 turnover, EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest Tax Depreciation and Amortisation) and profit after tax to be in line with 2024".

Numbers employed by the firm last year increased from 45 to 47 as staff costs increased from €2.63m to €2.88m.

One of the most talked about breakthrough entertainment acts of recent years is Vogue Williams and Joanne McNally where the two have capitalised on the popularity of their podcast, My Therapist Ghosted Me with sell out live shows across the globe.

The Pollstar figures show that the two generated €2.36m at the box office from five sell out shows across the 12 months before a combined audience of 39,873.
