JYSK opened its first store in Ireland in 2019 and it now operates 28 stores with 310 employees here
The company said it is accelerating its growth strategy in Ireland with a bold expansion plan that will double its retail footprint in Dublin in the coming months.
As part of this rollout, JYSK plas to open six new stores nationwide between September this year and February 2026.
It plans to open new stores in Killarney in Co Kerry and Swords in Co Dublin in September, Belgard Road in Dublin in October, Cork's Mahon Point in December, Blanchardstown in Dublin in January and Sallynoggin in Dublin in February.
JYSK also recently invested €250,000, in a new head office in Park West Business Park in Dublin. The new head office houses up to 50 JYSK head office employees across all departments.
Country Director for JYSK UK and Ireland, Roni Tuominen, said the strong turnover results for the 2024/25 financial year, highlights the resilience of the JYSK concept in a retail environment challenged by global uncertainties and cautious consumer sentiment.
"Our upcoming expansion in Ireland reflects the confidence customers place in us to provide affordable, high-quality home furnishings," he said.
"By consistently delivering value and broadening our reach through new store openings, we are not only navigating a tougher consumer climate successfully but also reinforcing JYSK's position as a trusted household name at a time when Irish shoppers are more discerning than ever with their spending," he added.
