Bank of Ireland said today that refurbishment work at 13 of its branches is now complete, while work in four branches are currently underway, and work on a further seven locations is on track for completion by the end of the year.
The enhancements are part of Bank of Ireland's €7m branch refurbishment investment in its 169-strong network.
It said that work in its Ballincollig and Blackpool branches in Co Cork, its Kilrush branch in Co Clare, its Ballyshannon and Donegal town branches in Co Donegal, its Dalkey, Drumcondra, Finglas, Kill of the Grange and Terenure branches in Dublin, its Boyle branch in Roscommon, its Roscrea branch in Co Tipperary and its Greystones branch in Co Wicklow.
Work on four more branches in Carlow (Bagenalstown), Longford (Ballymahon), Monaghan town, and Tipperary (Carrick on Suir) is underway.
Meanwhile, planned works on an additional seven branches in Little Island in Co Cork, Ballinrobe in Co Mayo, Dunboyne and Kells in Co Meath, Abbeyleix in Co Laois and Athy in Co Kildare will start soon and is expected to be wrapped up by the end of the year.
Bank of Ireland also recently provided an update on its nationwide ATM upgrade programme, with 118 new devices now installed across 30 branch locations. This rollout is part of an additional €60m branch network and ATM infrastructure investment.
Susan Russell, CEO of Bank of Ireland's Retail Ireland division, said that providing a leading branch-banking experience is one of the bank's key priorities.
