Independent electrical wholesalers Bellew Group has bought Waterford-based EEW - its third deal in the past 12 months - for an undisclosed sum.
Founded in 1979, EEW is headquartered in Enniscorthy and employs over 60 people across 11 branches nationwide.
Bellew said today's deal significantly strengthens its presence across the island of Ireland and the expanded Bellew Group now comprises more than 220 employees, 27 branches and annual revenues of over €100m.
This latest deal follows Bellew's acquisitions of Wesco Electrical and Cable and Accessories over the past year.
"This is a landmark moment for Bellew Electrical," said Ollie Bellew, CEO of Bellew Group.
"EEW is very well-run and the business is very well-respected in the industry, EEW have strong local roots and a loyal customer base," Mr Bellew said.
"We're excited to welcome the EEW team to the Bellew Group and continue building a nationwide network with the scale and service to match our customers' needs," he added.
Tom Byrne, founder of EEW, said that joining the Bellew Group is the right next step for the future of our business.
"I'm proud of what we've built and excited to see it grow even further with Ollie and the Bellew Group," he added.
