Two of Ireland's largest law firms ByrneWallace and LK Shields Solicitors have completed their merger to create Byrne Wallace Shields.
The agreement to merge the two firms was announced last November.
Byrne Wallace Shields has over 430 employees - including 220 solicitors.
Feargal Brennan, previously Managing Partner of ByrneWallace is the Managing Partner of the new firm.
"The merger has been extremely well received by clients and colleagues alike," Mr Brennan said.
"We can now give our clients a larger, better resourced firm to service their needs, and we can target larger, more complex mandates from existing and new clients," he added.
Richard Curran, who was formerly Managing Partner of LK Shields is Senior Partner in the merged firm.
Mr Curran said clients had responded enthusiastically to the deal.
"We’ve had a fantastic response from clients who see the advantages for them in having a larger, better resourced firm to support them."
