Paschal Donohoe named as new Minister for Finance

Paschal Donohoe has been named as the new Minister for Finance.

He will return to the role for the second time, having held the portfolio from 2017 to 2022.

Mr Donohoe has been chair of the group of euro zone finance ministers since 2020.

He held the Government's other budget portfolio, public expenditure minister, for the last two years.

The full Cabinet line-up was revealed this afternoon.

Jack Chambers is the new Minister for Public Expenditure, while Peter Burke will remain in his role as Minister for Enterprise.

Earlier, the Dáil voted by 95 votes to 76 to elect Fianna Fáil's Micheál Martin to the office of Taoiseach.
