Entreprenuers have until this Thursday to apply for the 'Back for Business' support programme.

The free Government programme is open to emigrants who have returned, or are are planning to return to Ireland to start or develop a business.

It will run from February to June 2025, and will provide the selected entrepreneurs with expert mentorship and business supports for six months.

This is the eighth year of the 'Back for Business' programme, with 50 places available.

Participants on last year's programme grew their combined workforce by 33 employees and had a fourfold increase in their combined turnover from less than €300,000 at the start of the cycle, to €1.2 million.
