Danish home retail brand JYSK said it plans to open five new stores across Ireland this year as well as opening a new head office in Park West Business Park as it continues its expansion across the country.

JYSK will bring new stores to locations including Tullamore in Co Offaly, Blackpool in Co Cork and Swords Pavilions in Dublin in early 2025.

Two more store openings are in the pipeline later in the year and each store will create up to ten new jobs in the area.

The new head office in Park West Business Park has seen an investment of €250,000, and it will house up to 50 JYSK head office employees across all departments. This is the second head office move by JYSK since it launched in Ireland to keep up with the company's growth in this market

It is also a separate office space to the 8,000 square foot JYSK dark store, which opened in November to significantly help reduce the delivery times to customers to between two to eight days.

The company said that its delivery times will be improved even further this year.

JYSK opened its first store in Ireland in 2019 and it now operates 25 stores nationwide with an Irish workforce of 310.

Country Director for JYSK UK & Ireland, Roni Tuominen, said the company has seen a very successful start to the year with the opening of a new head office, which now aligns with the JYSK office concept across Europe.

"JYSK's success in Ireland stems from our blend of Scandinavian design, competitive pricing, and our deep understanding of what the Irish customer wants ultimately creating a trusted brand that helps transform houses into homes," he added.
