Fenagh Engineering launches in Ireland with €3m investment

US-based construction inspection and materials testing firm Fenagh Engineering & Testing is to open its first European office in Dublin with a €3m investment over the next three years.

Fenagh's new Dublin office will create 35 new jobs across key areas, including materials testing, assigned certification, specialist inspection, geotechnical engineering, business development, project management and support functions.

The company was founded by Irish-American entrepreneur Patrick Greenan and its expansion to Dublin marks a milestone in Fenagh's journey to deliver high-quality third-party inspection, materials testing, and regulatory compliance services to Ireland's construction sector.

Its Dublin office will also act as its European headquarters, with plans already underway to expand into other European markets, including the UK.

Fenagh provides proactive and innovative solutions to high-profile clients such as Apple, Tesla, US state hospitals, data centers, and leading universities including MIT, Harvard and Columbia.

Michael Lohan, CEO of IDA Ireland said that Ireland offers companies like Fenagh Engineering & Testing a great opportunity to expand and grow into Europe.

Fenagh has also partnered with Dr Mark Mulville and Dr Susan McKeever of Technological University Dublin's Built Environment Research and Innovation Centre (BERIC) on a new AI Construction Research Programme.

This 10-month collaborative project, supported by Construct Innovate will integrate advanced AI technologies - such as computer vision and machine learning - to improve accuracy and efficiency in construction inspections.
