Healthcare company MSD Ireland has appointed Samantha Humphreys as the new Managing Director of its Human Health business and Head of the MSD Ireland Country Leadership Team.
The company has over 3,000 employees in Ireland across seven sites in Carlow, Cork, Dublin, Meath and Tipperary.
Ms Humphreys has led a number of strategic initiatives throughout her 16 year career at MSD, including collaborations between industry, policy and academia helping to drive significant patient improvements in oncology and women's health across multiple markets.
Samantha Humphreys said that Ireland plays a key role in MSD's global operations, adding that she is excited to collaborate with the team here to drive innovation and continue delivering life-changing therapies.
"Together, we will build on the strong foundation already in place, ensuring that our efforts continue to enhance healthcare systems, improving their capacity and efficiency while making a meaningful difference for both healthcare services and patients, in Ireland and around the world," she added.
