Employee communication platform Workvivo by Zoom has launched a new hub in Cork City and has announced 100 new jobs.
The roles will be filled over the next two years and will primarily be product and engineering positions focussed on research and innovation.
Workvivo was founded in Cork and provides employee communication platforms for companies such as Dollar General, Ryanair, Amazon, Bupa and the Virgin Group.
Earlier this year, Workvivo was named the only preferred migration partner by Meta as it retired its employee communications platform, Workplace.
Workvivo was acquired by Zoom in 2023 and the new state-of-the-art engagement hub follows the blueprint of Zoom's other hubs around the globe, marking a shift from traditional office spaces towards a technology-first site designed for hybrid working.
"It was so important to us that our new engagement hub would stay true to our DNA, while also setting us up for the next phase in our scaling journey as part of Zoom," said co-founder and CEO of Workvivo by Zoom, John Goulding.
"We've been so fortunate to have hired truly world-class talent over the last few years in Ireland. Now, with the incredible support of the IDA, we're excited to welcome more people into the Workvivo by Zoom team," Mr Goulding said.
IDA Ireland Executive Director Mary Buckley said that Zoom's decision to establish its first major hub in Cork is terrific news for the Southwest region and the whole of Ireland.
"Zoom is attracted by the wealth of skilled and diverse talent across the region to support their research and innovation focus," Ms Buckley said.
Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment Peter Burke described Workvivo by Zoom as a commendable success story.
"The recent acquisition by Zoom has allowed Workvivo to significantly grow their innovative employee engagement platform, while keeping true to their own identity," Mr Burke said.
European Commissioner-Designate for Democracy, Justice and the Rule of Law, Michael McGrath attended today's launch.
"This is a further endorsement for Cork City and the wider South West region as a prime location for technology companies like Zoom," Mr McGrath said.
