Lidl has announced a new strategic partnership with Kerry Dairy Ireland to develop a brand new infant formula range under the retailer's private label.

Kerry Dairy Ireland has been a partner to Lidl Ireland for more than 20 years and this latest collaboration represents a new supply deal worth €2m between the Irish brands.

The range of Lidl baby food will be manufactured at Kerry Dairy Ireland's site in Charleville, Co Cork.

Suitable for both combination with breastfeeding and bottle-fed only babies, the new infant formula range is available now in Lidl's 223 stores across the island of Ireland.

"Kerry Dairy Ireland has been a strategic partner and supplier to Lidl Ireland for over 20 years and we're proud to continue building on this partnership and working with the Lidl team to collaboratively deliver sustainable, innovative solutions with the expertise of our teams across research and development, consumer insights, food safety and manufacturing," Tim Gault, Commercial Director at Kerry Dairy Ireland, said.

"As a world leader in sustainable nutrition, and as a household Irish brand, we're delighted to work with Lidl to expertly develop this new product range," he added.

Kevin Duffy, Chief Commercial Officer, Lidl Ireland & Northern Ireland, said the supermarket chain prides itselves on providing quality products at market leading value.

"We’re very proud to launch our first own brand infant formula range and to do this in conjunction with our valued partner Kerry Dairy Ireland," he added.
