Dutch challenger bank bunq has announced plans to grow its global headcount by 70% to more than 730 employees by the end of this year

Bunq said of these new roles, it plans to recruit 17 new positions in Ireland amidst rapid growth in the Irish market.

The challenger bank said its new hiring activities is centred on bolstering its commercial functions and it is seeking sales and business development, product marketing, PR, affiliate marketing, and market analysis experts to drive growth.

It is offering a tailored digital nomad programme for many of these positions, which allows employees to work from anywhere in the world, with increasing flexibility the longer they work at the company.

The company said it believes in fostering a flexible and inclusive work environment that attracts top talent from around the world.

The bank is hiring across all its offices, including its headquarters in Amsterdam and its locations in Sofia, Istanbul, Munich, Paris, Dublin, Madrid, London and New York City.
