Women's business group Network Ireland said it has received the highest ever number of applications for its Businesswoman of the Year Awards.
Almost 460 applications for the awards were received from members across its branches, highlighting female-led entrepreneurship figures around the country.
The winners from 17 local branch finals will go forward to a national level round where a panel of business experts select the winners in the eight categories.
The successful businesswomen will be announced at a gala awards ceremony at Lyrath Estate Hotel, Kilkenny, on Friday, September 27.
The event coincides with Network Ireland's national conference which offers networking opportunities, interactive sessions and focused masterclasses.
Founded in 1983, Network Ireland now has almost 1,300 members and the organisation has 18 branches - 17 local branches and one virtual branch.
This year's awards are divided into eight categories - Networker of the Year 2024, Emerging Businesswoman, Solo Businesswoman, Established Businesswoman, Creative Professional, STEM Professional, Employee - Rising Star and Employee - Shining Star.
The National President of Network Ireland, Linda Codoul, said she was blown away by the calibre of talent amongst the network for this year's awards.
"The accomplishments of our members within the business community is astonishing and I'm very proud to be part of such a talented group," she added.
AIB is Network Ireland's official partner, while the awards other sponsors include Abbott, Enterprise Ireland, Sound to Light, Galway Crystal and Virgin Media.
