PTSB has made a number of changes to its Executive Management Team with Ger Mitchell appointed as the bank's new Chief Customer & People Officer, Patrick Farrell as its Chief Retail Banking Officer and Leontia Fannin as its Chief Sustainability and Corporate Affairs Officer.
The appointments will take effect from August 1.
The bank said today's changes follow on from its identification as an "Other Systemically Important Institution" in Ireland last November.
The new apppointments will strengthen the effectiveness of PTSB's Executive Management team as the bank continues to grow and diversify its business, it added.
Ger Mitchell has been a member of PTSB's Executive Committee since 2012 with his most recent role as Chief HR Officer and Corporate Development Director.
In his new role as Chief Customer and People Officer, Mr Mitchell will support further elevation of a customer-centric culture where customers are put at the heart of the bank's strategy.
His responsibilities will include the development and implementation of all aspects of PTSB's Customer and People Strategy, including its commercial strategy, customer enablement strategy, product strategy, marketing, brand and sponsorships strategy, as well as the its People and Culture strategies.
Patrick Farrell joined PTSB in December 2018 as Retail Banking Director and a member of the Bank’s Executive Committee and has been responsible for all sales and service channels and the bank's product management strategy.
PTSB said the role of Chief Retail Banking Officer is reflective of its increased nationwide branch footprint and growth and diversification through its expanded business banking and newly acquired asset finance business lines.
In his new role, Mr Farrell has responsibility for the commercial performance of the retail banking function including sales strategy and service provision to PTSB customers through the following channels - branch, direct, digital, boker, mobile mortgages, private banking, business banking and asset finance.
Leontia Fannin is currently Head of Corporate Affairs, Communications & Sustainability in PTSB and as a member of its Senior Leadership Team since 2018, she has directed a number of its key strategic initiatives, including PTSB's reputation management, sponsorship and sustainability programmes.
The role of Chief Sustainability & Corporate Affairs Officer has been newly created to reflect PTSB's commitment to sustainability as a key driver of its corporate strategy and the value it places on corporate affairs as a driver of internal and external stakeholder engagement.
In her new role, Ms Fannin will join PTSB’s Executive Committee and be responsible for building and proactively managing its Corporate Affairs Strategy alongside responsibility for PTSB's Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability strategies.
