Norwegian Air has today lowered its annual profit outlook citing lower-than-expected second-quarter demand and aircraft delivery delays from Boeing.
The airline expects an operating profit of 2.1 billion to 2.6 billion crowns ($199-246m), it said in a statement, down from the 2.5-3.2 billion crowns it forecast in April.
Its latest forecast includes regional carrier Wideroe, which it bought in January.
A higher-than-projected wage settlement for pilots, aircraft delivery delays from Boeing which have forced Norwegian to source external capacity, and negative currency effects weighed on the outlook, the airline said.
Norwegian posted a profit of 2.2 billion crowns last year.
