Limerick-based translation and interpreting company Translit said today that it is joining the UK-based Valorem Group.

As part of the deal, Translit will also merge with fellow Valorem Group member DA Languages, a Manchester-based provider of interpreting services.

The company, which was founded in 2009 and which tripled its revenue in both 2022 and 2023, said the new deal will create new opportunities for it in Ireland, the UK and further afield.

It added that the deal has also allowed for the creation of 40 jobs by the end of 2025, 10 of which have already been filled.

Under the terms of the deal, the company will continues to operate as Translit and its founder Alex Chernenko will remain as chief executive.

Alex Chernenko, founder and CEO of Translit, said today's agreement is a really positive milestone in the company's story.

"We've had an incredibly busy few years and the team and I are ready to take our activity to the next level. Our partnership with DA Languages also reinforces Translit's commitment to providing exceptional language solutions," he said.

"We are thrilled to join Valorem Group, a consortium that shares our ambitious drive and commitment to excellence," he added.

"Alex and the team have built a fantastic business, we are proud to welcome Translit into Valorem Group," Matthew Taylor, CEO of DA Languages, said.

"Their innovative approach to language services aligns perfectly with our mission to support ambitious companies. Together, we will continue to push boundaries and deliver unparalleled value to our clients," he added.
