Revolut customers spent more on travel amid April showers

Revolut customers in Ireland spent 10% more on travel in April when compared with the same month last year, new data shows.

Spend on airlines jumped 25% year-on-year, while airport spend increased by 12%.

Consumers also spend more with travel agents, with spend up 24% on April 2023 - when the weather was less rainy.

Similarly, spend on timeshares increased by 4.5% year-on-year, and by over 16% when compared to the previous month.

Cruises also proved popular in April, with spend up 23% on the same month last year, and by 15% on the previous month.

Meanwhile, the data shows that Revolut customers also chose to holiday in Ireland, with spend in trailer parks and campsites up 22% year-on-year, and by over 34% on the previous month.
