International agri-services group Origin Enterprises has appointed Colm Purcell as the group's new chief financial officer.
Mr Purcell will join Origin in July and will be appointed an Executive Director of the company in September following the publication of Origin's full year results for 2024.
Colm Purcell is currently CFO of the Glanbia Nutritionals Division of Glanbia plc.
He has worked in the US and Ireland with Glanbia plc for 11 years, where he has held a number of senior leadership roles. Before working at Glanbia, he was an audit Director with KPMG and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in 2001.
Gary Britton, Chairman of Origin, said that following a thorough recruitment process, the company was delighted to welcome an executive of Colm's calibre and expertise to Origin as it prepares for its next phase of growth.
"Colm brings a wealth of sector experience to the Group, including the global agriculture and food production sector. He has a proven track record in financial leadership, commercial and operational challenge and strategy implementation," Mr Britton added.
