A regional radio station in the south east of the country, Beat 102-103, is to be bought by Bauer Media Audio.
Financial terms of the acquisition of the youth music station have not been made public.
Beat 102-103 serves Carlow, Kilkenny, Waterford, Wexford and South Tipperary.
Around 158,000 people listen to it each week and it is the most listened to station in the 15-34 age category in those geographical areas.
"We are delighted to have Beat 102-103 join Bauer," said Chris Doyle, interim CEO, Bauer Media Audio Ireland.
"This provides advertisers and partners with access to a quality station with an engaged audience in the South East."
The Irish Times owns 75% of Beat 102-103.
"Over the last 20 years, Beat 102-103 has been hugely successful in targeting and attracting listeners amongst the 15-34 age group, becoming the most popular station for that audience in the south east," said Chair of Beat 102-103 and Group Managing Director of The Irish Times, Deirdre Veldon.
"This success is thanks to the focus, commitment, and creativity of the Beat team. We're confident that Beat and its staff will have a bright future as a valued part of the dynamic Bauer Media Group."
The deal is dependent on closing conditions being met and regulatory approval being provided.
Bauer Media, which entered the Irish market in 2021 with its purchase of Communicorp, already owns Today FM, Newstalk, Red FM and iRadio.
This latest acquisition will give it a total weekly reach here of 2.24 million listeners.
