IPUT, the biggest office landlord in Dublin, said today it has secured planning permission to deliver an additional 12 units at its Nexus Logistics Park in Dublin.
This will extend the park to 1.7 million square feet. Planning for an initial 800,000 square feet (five units) was granted in 2023.
Nexus Logistics Park is located at the Cherryhound Interchange of the M2 motorway and is adjacent to Dublin's M50 and close to Dublin airport.
IPUT said it now has permission to build a total of 2.5 million square feet across 17 buildings which will be delivered to the highest sustainability standard.
A range of unit sizes can be delivered from 50,000 square feet to to 475,000 square feet.
Sustainable design features of the units include roof mounted solar panels, high-efficiency LED lighting systems, rainwater harvesting systems and advanced building envelope to improve thermal performance.
IPUT's current logistics portfolio comprises 3.2 million square feet, across 32 buildings. It will increase to close to six million square feet when Nexus is complete.
Michael Clarke, Chief Investment Officer at IPUT Real Estate, said the company's ambition is for Nexus to be one of the most sustainable logistics parks in Europe.
"Following the successful delivery of Quantum Logistics Park, which includes Ireland's first net zero logistics building, our investment in Nexus supports a greener economy while providing amenities that serve both our occupiers and the local community," he added.
