SuperValu is expanding its insurance offering to life assurance and mortgage protection.
The supermarket chain already offers car, van, home and travel insurance.
It currently has more than 50,000 customers across the country following what it claims has been substantial growth in the business in recent years.
"The competitiveness of the offer, plus customer perks like SuperValu vouchers and other shopping rewards, have helped deliver significant growth over the last 4 years," said Garry O'Sullivan, Head of SuperValu Insurance.
"Through our partnerships with our existing underwriters, we have been able to deliver very competitive rates to customers."
Royal London will underwrite the new offerings.
SuperValu is aiming to have 70,000 insurance customers by next year.
"These new products, provided by the underwriters Royal London, are a very exciting step for us as we continue to build an exciting insurance portfolio that offers greater choice to Irish consumers," said Mr O’Sullivan.
SuperValu recently added van insurance which is underwritten by Axa, while Chubb Group underwrites its travel offering.
The company began offering insurance products in 2015.
