A summit for tech start-ups is to be held in Limerick next month.
The event will be hosted by Scale Ireland, the independent representative organisation for Irish tech start-ups and scaling companies.
The regional summit - the third of its kind - will focus on the potential and the challenges facing the sector.
Ahead of the event, Scale Ireland in conjunction with Google, Enterprise Ireland, the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund (ISIF) and Atlantic Bridge have launched the latest 'State of Start-ups Survey' to get the views of founders and CEOs on the key issues affecting them.
These include the availability of capital, the potential of Artificial Intelligence, staffing and skills, as well as the effectiveness of key state supports and regulations.
"Our third Regional Start-up Summit comes at a time when the Government's ambition is to position Ireland as a global innovation leader," said Scale Ireland Chief Executive Martina Fitzgerald.
"So this is an important opportunity for tech leaders around the country to debate the significant opportunities of Ireland’s indigenous tech sector to our economic future - a conversation which is of growing importance," Ms Fitzgerald said.
There are currently more than 2,000 indigenous tech start-up and scaling companies, employing more than 45,000 people in Ireland.
